As some of you may or may not know Bishop of Battle had officially come to an end in early 2001. There are still CDs available for anyone that is interested, just go to the cds page for information. But the rock must go on! Nate is dooming it up heavy style in his band Witch Mountain and Christian's band The Promise Breakers are going through a line up change so they are currently on hold but will soon be releasing a full length CD and hope to be playing out as soon as they can (most likely under a different name, stay tuned to knowwave.com for details).

.	Bishop of Battle finally made it to the 13th level, surrendered to the game, and called it quits... will they ever return?... probably not... but there could always be a chance, however small, that someday they will return, in some form, to rock and roll again... and save the world...

We are sorry to report due to unforseen circumstances we are going to have to cancel our CD release show on the 27th. We apologize for this and we will reschedule it as soon as we can. The CD also won't be released until we reschedule the release show. As soon as we reschedule the show we will post it on this site.

We are scheduled to release our second CD on May 27, 2000. This CD EP will have 5 new songs on it, and we know it is long over due. We will be having a release party on the 27th at the Ground Kontrol arcade in downtown Portland. Portland's own Poolside will be joining us that night in performing and Dig Dug duels. We now have mp3's availble for downloading. Visit our site at mp3.com to download some of the songs off of our Prequel Plus CD. You can also purchase the whole album in mp3 and regular audio format at this site. But it will be cheaper for you to just purchase a CD from us. See the cds page for details. If you want more songs of ours in mp3 format than is offered at mp3.com then just e-mail us and we can get them to you. You can even get the whole Prequel Plus album in mp3 format, from us for free.

.	11/05/99....	....FORWARD...

Nate is back from tour with Automaton Adventure Series and we are beginning movement forward again. We have a show 11/13/99 at Spin Cycle with Satellite Seduction and Warp Factor 9, which should prove to be a very daring night of new wave noise rock. Also in EP news, some of us will be back in the studio this weekend to fight through the end of recording our new EP. Some vocals are left to be done and some sound spectrums still need to be added. I also believe some redos of guitar tracks are going to be done. After all we are perfectionist working in opposing directions. So I'm just going to say it will be out when we finish it, as opposed to allways saying we are just about done. We will have it done before the next millenium (Hopefully). In other news Nate is now the webmaster for the Billions Corporation's website. In case you don't know Billions is a booking corporation that sets up tours for bands. Check out the site at billions.com to see what bands are coming to a venue near you. They do bookings for tons of great bands including The Jesus Lizard (when they still existed), Man or Astro-Man?, Six Finger Satellite, Boss Hog, etc. just to name a few.

Music by Bishop of Battle can be found in the upcoming independent film Doomed Planet. It's a cult comedy about cults, based in Seattle, Wa. Visit the official Doomed Planet website for all the information you can get on the film, including the trailer for the movie which includes Bishop songs.

.	09/26/99....	....CURRENT STATUS...

We are on another hiatus for a few weeks. Nate has gone on tour with Seattle's Automaton Adventure Series for four weeks. He'll be adding sound treatments and aiding the Automaton mobile rock unit as they go coast to coast promoting there new album "futura transmitta". If you get a chance to see them, do. You can find tour dates and other electronic information about them at radio-optik.com. They will be playing in Portland at 17 Nautical Miles on Saturday October 2, 1999(All ages show). As for Bishop of Battle, we are done recording five if the planned six songs. They just need mixing. As for the sixth song we are unable to record as of now, due to the sound storage device we are using is of less technology, it's about a year old, and has reached it's capacity. In other words the hard drive is full right now. So we plan mixing down the first five songs and then tackling the last song and then put out our new EP as soon as possible. We also plan on putting the band into high gear after Nate get's back which includes live show performances and writing new songs. We are very excitied, hopefully you are too.

.	08/21/99....	....RECORDING PROGRESS...

Here's the current status on recording: Right now were doing nothing. Merlin has been on vacation for two weeks so we haven't been able to do anything lately. But we do have most tracks down for five songs. They just need vocals, a few overdubs, and mixing. We have recorded drums and moog for another song, but we are currently experiencing "technical difficulties" with it, but hopefully we'll be able to record the rest of that one too. We are also hoping to start getting back at recording this week. Unfortunately due to us recording (and vacationing) we haven't had time to play any shows. Mostly due to the fact that we haven't practiced during this time, and it could be very dangerous (physically and mentally) for any one to see us perorm live without us being in "performance" shape.

.	08/01/99....	....WEBSITE LAUNCHED...

.	After way too much time I finally got the new official Bishop of Battle website off and running. Knowwave.com will be the permanent location of our site. It will be updated regularly, when there is news, and to post upcoming shows and events. So book mark it and stay tune...

.	07/11/99....	....FINALLY RECORDING...

.	We're finally back in the studio again. That studio being Merlin's WarAxe studio where we have recorded before and for a very good price. FREE. We're hoping to put out a six song EP in the next couple of months so stay tuned for progress updates.
